Community Services Trainee
This is a newly created position designed to assist in the effective management of our busy office, with a primary focus on assisting with systems, rostering, and administration. Reporting to the Payroll, Compliance and Quality Team Leader, this role will see the successful applicant learn a wide range of skills and become a part of a friendly and supportive team. This role is full-time for a fixed term of 12 months. The successful applicant will complete a Certificate III in Community Services during their employment, and this role is based in Innisfail.
Intake Officer
The Intake Officer is responsible for undertaking and coordinating the intake process for NDIS participants into the service, as well as reviewing and updating each Participant’s paperwork and information every 12 months. The Intake Officer works closely with the Rostering team, Management, Administration Staff, Support Workers, Participants and their families to meet the needs and requirements of Life Ur Way Participants to help them to achieve their NDIS goals. This is a permanent, fulltime position.
Support Coordinator
A Support Coordinator’s role is to show all available and practical options to their NDIS Participants to ensure they have choice and remain in control of their supports. They will also provide their recommendations based on what options will be best for each individual’s circumstances to assist in decision-making.
Disability Support Worker
The Disability Support Worker is responsible for implementing training and support services aimed at maximising the living, employment, social and recreational skills of people with a disability. Community inclusion, independence, decision making and personal choice should be promoted through these supports, with a focus on individual needs. The Disability Support Worker is a valued member of The Disability Trust and contributes to the development of service practice through regular staff meetings, planning processes and policy reviews.
